Principal Duties and Responsibilities

We’re looking for frontend engineers to turn design into code, with a keen-eye and attention to detail you would be touching the lives of all our customers. with the following skill sets, experience, and passions

Job Responsibilities

• Overseeing the structure and design of web pages and making them as user-friendly as possible.
• Developing user-facing applications and monitoring their effectiveness.
• Working alongside colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure speed and stability of the user experience.
• Understanding the company's needs and working with relevant personnel to ensure maximum effectiveness of web pages.
• Working with UI/UX Designers to ensure applications are built according to the exact UI/UX designs.
• Working with Backend Developers to ensure applications are built according to exact requirements..
• Changing the design and content of existing pages for the benefit of users, clients, and colleagues.

Your profile

After earning your outstanding degree at a top university, you have gained work experience in a top-tier e-commerce player, consulting companies and/or in start-ups. Moreover, you have a proven track record of personal, academic and professional achievements. Your knowledge of the internet and e-commerce sector in the region is impressive as well as your high drive and ambition to perform. Independence, flexibility and speed are as important to you as geographical mobility and international experience. Entrepreneurial drive, sales attitude and the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment complete your profile. The ideal candidate must possess expertise in brand management, e-commerce operations, marketplace operations, marketing, omni-channel strategy. You must be a logical thinker, problem solver, personable, and with initiative. The role would require a combination of consulting, business development, account management, and financial skills.

Key Qualifications

• Ability to learn quickly on the go. We're looking for software engineers who thrive while learning new technologies.
• Good, if not great, programming skills with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Ajax & JQuery), PHP (CI Framework) and an ability to pick up new ones, hint: Node.js.
• You have basic knowledge of a backend and UI/UX stack, including technologies like Figma, APIs and MySQL.
• Bias toward action. You believe that speed and quality aren't mutually exclusive. You've shown good judgment about shipping as fast as possible while ensuring your products and platforms are built well, sustainably and responsibly.
• Passion and energy. Because you love what you do, you bring infectious enthusiasm to all your endeavors.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team which touches many parts of core systems at Etaily.
